Enterpreunership Trainer

1.Background

Rwanga Foundation is holding the Youth Ignite project, which aims to empower youth with the skills and knowledge essential for succeeding in the job market, fostering economic stability, and nurturing a more inclusive and prosperous community. Within this project, an Entrepreneurship course will be conducted for 150 young entrepreneurs to enhance their business skills to start or develop their businesses. Additionally, 130 young entrepreneurs will be selected for grant funding.

2. Objectives:

Prepare participants and equip them with business skills required to start or scale up their businesses, such as business planning, marketing, finance, leadership, and innovation.

3. Scope of Work 

The Entrepreneurship Trainer will be responsible for the following tasks:

  1. Training Delivery:
    • Design and deliver comprehensive entrepreneurship training programs tailored to various levels of entrepreneurial experience for a duration of 5 days per location.
    • Develop training materials, modules, and resources that cover essential entrepreneurial skills, including business planning, marketing, finance, innovation, operations, and leadership, aligning with the SIYB course.
    • Conduct 5-day workshops and interactive sessions to engage participants and enhance their learning experience.
  2. Mentorship:
    • Provide one-on-one and group mentoring to aspiring entrepreneurs, offering personalized guidance and support for a duration of two to three months.
    • Assist mentees in developing and refining their business ideas, business plans, and growth strategies.
    • Monitor mentees' progress and provide constructive feedback and recommendations to help them overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
  3. Networking and Partnerships:
    • Facilitate networking opportunities for entrepreneurs by organizing events, meetups, and connecting them with potential investors, industry experts, and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Establish and maintain partnerships with local businesses, educational institutions, and government agencies to create a supportive ecosystem for entrepreneurs.
  4. Monitoring and Evaluation:
    • Develop and implement a system to track the progress and impact of the training and mentorship programs.
    • Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of the programs and identify areas for improvement.
    • Prepare regular reports and presentations on the outcomes and success stories of the entrepreneurship programs.
  5. Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated with the latest trends, best practices, and innovations in entrepreneurship education and mentoring.
    • Regularly review and enhance training and mentoring methodologies to ensure they meet the evolving needs of entrepreneurs.

4. Qualifications and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Entrepreneurship, Economics, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an entrepreneur, business coach, or mentor with a track record of successful business ventures.
  • Holder of an SIYB certificate (Start and Improve Your Business).
  • Strong knowledge of business development, financial management, marketing, and other key areas of entrepreneurship.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire, motivate, and guide aspiring entrepreneurs.
  • Experience in designing and delivering training programs and workshops.
  • Familiarity with local business ecosystems and resources available to entrepreneurs.

5. Duration of Assignment:

The initial contract will be for two to three months. Five days of training will be provided per location, followed by mentorship for the selected businesses for grant funding. This contract offers the possibility of extension based on performance and program needs.

6. Reporting

The Entrepreneurship Trainer will report to the Project Coordinator. Regular updates and reports will be submitted as per the agreed schedule.

7. Location

The position will be based in Erbil, Duhok, and Sulaymaniyah, with potential travel to various locations for training sessions and mentoring meetings, such as Erbil/Soran, Koya, Duhok/Zakho, Amidi, Sulaymaniyah/Kaniba, and Halabja.

8. Application Process:
