JOB SUMMARY

A reliable and organized Logistics and Driver Officer (Own Vehicle Required) to manage the transportation and delivery of goods, as well as support the day-to-day logistics operations. The ideal candidate must have their own vehicle and be able to navigate logistics tasks efficiently while ensuring timely and safe delivery of products to various locations.

Job Title: Logistics and Driver Officer

Type of position: Full Time

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Drive your own vehicle to deliver goods, packages, and products to designated locations.
• Ensure timely and safe delivery while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure safety, maintenance, and cleanliness
• Plan and coordinate transportation for event-related materials, such as equipment, signage, and supplies.
• Ensure all event items are delivered to the venue on time and in good condition.
•  Set up and organize materials at event locations as required.
• Oversee inventory management and tracking of materials and supplies for events.
• Assist in managing logistics for multiple events simultaneously, ensuring smooth execution.
• Work with the logistics team to optimize delivery routes and schedules for events.
• Support on-site logistics, including the coordination of deliveries, pickups, and any last-minute adjustments 
• Keep the vehicle’s logbook up to date
• Verify the accuracy of delivery manifests or invoices
• Secure cargo for transport using appropriate tools and supplies
• Record information such as cargo descriptions, mileage, fuel consumption, and any problems encountered with the vehicle or its contents
• Maintain cleanliness of both interior and exterior of vehicles
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
• Perform pre/post trip inspections on assigned vehicle daily
• Report any mechanical issues to supervisor immediately
• Ensure that all the passengers wear the vehicle safety belts before driving the vehicle.
• Ensure that all vehicle journeys are authorized in advance by Line Manager.
•  Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays.
• Prepare daily or weekly reports for the logistics team to track operational performance.
• Handle any paperwork associated with deliveries, including invoices and delivery note Report suspected mechanical problems, if possible before actual problems arise
• Work after duty hours or holidays as and when required and with prior notice from line manager.
• Perform other related duties as required by the line manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience in a logistics role, with experience in event logistics a plus
• Must have a valid driving license and clean driving record.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, especially for coordinating event logistics.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own a reliable vehicle (vehicle type as required by the company)
• Ability to work in multi-cultural team and in diverse populations and under pressure;
• Fluency in Kurdish is required, Arabic and English will be an advantage,
•  Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Non-judgmental attitude and respect for Event Box’s staff and people that Event Box deals with;
• Basic knowledge of inventory management and event logistics processes.
• Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours for events, as necessary
